How to Edit a Certificate

This article explains how to update an existing certificate on a personnel profile, including changes to expiry dates, certificate details, or supporting documents.

1. From the main menu in Cerely, select Personnel

2. Locate and select the employee whose certificate you want to edit

3. From the left-hand side menu within the employee profile, select Qualifications & Experience

4. At the top of the screen, select Certificates from the menu

5. Find the certificate you want to update in the list

6.Click the Edit pencil icon under actions

7. Update certificate details

In the pop-up window, update any of the following fields as required:

Field Description
State Update the state where the certificate was issued
Certificate Type Select or update the certificate type from the dropdown menu
Certificate Number Edit the certificate reference number
Expiry Date Update the expiry date if required
Enforce Expiry Toggle on to prevent rostering if the certificate expires
Never Expires Toggle on if the certificate does not have an expiry
Upload Certificate Upload a new file or replace the existing certificate document

 

8. Select Submit to apply the updates

The certificate has now been updated and will reflect the latest information in the employee’s Qualifications & Experience section.

Important

If Enforce Expiry is enabled, any updates to the expiry date will immediately impact rostering eligibility where the certificate is required.
